CAUTION
Governor operation must be checked
before performing Power Test to avoid
possible engine damage.
Start engine (TM 9-2320-386-10).
CHECK GOVERNOR OPERATION:
1
Watch the VTM display.
Increase engine speed to maximum governor speed,
2900 40 RPM.
Press further on accelerator to full throttle.
Does engine RPM remain below maximum at full
throttle?
YES
NO
Is engine RPM greater than upper limit?
Turn vehicle engine OFF.
YES
Notify DS maintenance.
Proceed to step 2.
NO
Engine RPM is below lower limit.
Proceed to Governor/Power Test
