performed before running any other STE/ICE-R test.

CHECK FOR LEAKS AND COOLANT TEMPERATURE:
Check vehicle for oil, fuel, and coolant leaks. Refer to
appropriate section to repair any leaks.
Warm up engine to normal operating temperature
160-210F (71-99C).
Does temperature gauge read within limits after a
normal warmup period?
YES
NO
Is temperature too high?
YES
NO
Proceed to next desired test.
Proceed to Gauge Test, NG31.
Refer to Mechanical Troubleshooting
(WP 0009 00) to troubleshoot engine
cooling systems for high temperature.
If no problems are found, proceed to
NG31
Gauge Test, NG31.
NOTE
NG31
After completing repair, rerun the GO-
Chain tests to verify that the problem is
fixed and that no other problems exist.
