Replacement.

WARNING
Do not permit smoking, sparks or open flame
within 50 feet of truck during fuel pump replace-
ment.  Fuel could explode, causing injury to
personnel and damage to equipment.
NOTE
Put a very thin coat of sealer compound on
threads of all fuel line fittings before installing.
If new fuel pump is being put in, unscrew and take off elbow ( 1). Using

7/16-inch wrench, screw in and tighten elbow removed from old pump into
new pump.
NOTE
Pump depth measurement A shown must be 14 3/16 inches
for truck models M275A1, M275A2, and M342A2. For all
other truck models, measurement A must be 15 3/16 inches.
If necessary to adjust pump depth, do steps 2 through 4.

Using screwdriver and 7/16-inch wrench, unscrew and take off two screws,
lockwashers, and nuts (2).  Move pump (3) up or down in brackets (4).

Use set of mounting holes in brackets which will position pump (3)
to meet measurement A.
Put back two screws, lockwashers and nuts (2) and tighten using screwdriver

and 7/16-inch wrench.
