GENERAL

The following paragraph contains illustrations that show the location of each steering

column control of the M1078A1 series vehicles. Each control and indicator is clearly

labeled as it appears on the vehicle. Callouts on the illustration are keyed to the tabular

listing which contains the name and the functional description of each control and

indicator.

FUNCTION

Horn button

Sounds horn when pressed.

Windshield washer switch

Activates windshield washer when pushed in.

Windshield wiper switch

Four-position switch used to operate and control

the speed of the windshield wipers. Windshield

wipers operate intermittently when switch is

placed in the "J" position. Windshield wipers

operate at low or high speed when switch is

placed in the "I" or "II" position.
