Install belts and verify
proper tension (WP 0084 00).

CHECK DRIVEBELTS:
NOTE
Check alternator drivebelts
After completing repair, rerun GO Chain
for proper tension
tests (WP 0017 00) to verify that problem
is fixed and no other problems exist.
Are belts OK?
YES
NO
Adjust or replace belts (WP 0084 00).
WARNING
Disconnect battery ground cable before proceeding (WP 0126 00).
Failure to do so may cause injury to personnel or damage to equipment.
Proceed to step 5.

INSTALL TEST PROBE CABLE
Remove access cover to expose output
terminal on alternator.
Connect P1 of test probe cable W2 to J4
on VTM.
Short red and black clip leads together.
Proceed to step 6.
