WARNING
Smoking, sparks or open flames are not allowed
within 50 feet of work area during this task. Fuel
can explode, causing injury to personnel and dam-
age to equipment.
Working in battery box, put heater assembly (1) into two retainer clamps (2).
1.
Close and screw tight two retainer clamps (2).
Plug in and screw on tight electrical connector (3).
2.
Slide exhaust pipe elbow (4) onto heater (1). Put in cotter pin (5). Bend
3.
over ends of cotter pin (5).
Put fuel line (6) on fuel control valve (7).  Screw on and tighten fitting (8).
4.
Turn on fuel cock (9).
5.
NOTE
Follow-on Maintenance Action Required:
Put on coolant hoses at heater. Refer to
1.
TM 9-2320-209-20.
2.
Connect battery ground cable. Refer to
TM 9-2320-209-20.
Check all fuel lines and coolant hoses for
3.
coolant and fuel leaks.
