Readings must be within limits given in table 18-2. If
readings are not within given limits, throw away part
and get a new one.
Check that drum assembly (1) has no chips or cracks. If drum assembly is

damaged, get a new one.
2.
Check that surface of clutch shifter fork (2) where it meets drum sliding
clutch (3) is not broken or damaged.  If shifter fork is damaged, get a new
one.
Check that surface clutch (3) where it meets drum assembly is not broken or
3.
damaged.  If clutch is damaged, get a new one.
Check that thrust ring (4) has no cracks.  If thrust ring is damaged get a new
4.
one.
Measure inside diameter of drum sliding clutch (3).

GO TO FRAME 3
