WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use
near an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher
nearby when solvent is used. Use only in well-

Check that access cover (1), cap (2), bearing retainer flange (3), and gear
1.
housing (4) are not scratched, chipped, cracked or have small holes.
2.  Check that feed gear and hub assembly (5) and first reduction gear (6) are
not burred, nicked, cracked or have damaged gear teeth.
3.  Check that two pinion shafts (7) are not chipped, scratched, burred or
have damaged gear teeth.
4.  Check five bearings (8). Refer to Part 1, para 10-8.
5.  Check that all thread parts are not stripped or crossthreaded.
