Cleaning.

WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near
an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when
solvent is used. Use only in well-ventilated places.
Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and
damage to equipment.
(1) Clean metal parts with dry cleaning solvent. Dry with clean rags.
(2) Clean wire lead terminals, screws, and circuit breakers with emery cloth.

Inspection and Repair.
WARNING
Do not repair circuit breakers. If a circuit breaker is
damaged, get a new one. Repaired circuit breaker can
cause electrical fire, injury to personnel, and damage to
equipment.
1.
Check that cover (1) and breaker box (2) are not bent, dented, torn or damaged.
Repair by straightening or welding. Refer to FM 43-2 and TM 9-237. If more repair
is needed, get new parts.
2.
Check that terminals (3) have no corrosion, signs of overheating or other damage,
If terminals are damaged, get new parts.
3.
Move four reset levers (4) up and down and check that they do not stick or bind. If
reset levers stick or bind, get a new circuit breaker unit.
