Drag Brake Test and Adjustment.
(1) Test.
FRAME 1
WARNING
Always wear protective gloves when handling winch
cable. Do not let winch cable slip through hands.
Rusty or broken wires can cause serious injury.
1.
Grab winch cable (1) and pull out about six feet of cable, then let go of cable
quickly. If drum (2) keeps turning, do drag brake adjustment. If drum
(2) stops turning when cable (1) is let go, adjustment is correct.
