4-4 SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIEL.

4-4.1 Unpacking Power Unit. (Refer to figure 4-1 and figure 4-2.) The power unit is boxed prior to

shipment. The PU-800, PU801, PU-801A, and PU-802 are identical with the exception of the electrical

output frequency of the generator sets. Two PU-800 Power Units are modified to make up the AN/MJQ-39

power plant. Therefore, the unpacking procedures and figures 4-1 and 4-2 are typical for each

configuration. Each generator set is packed in place on its respective trailer. Before beginning the

unpacking procedure, locate and remove Depreservation Guide.

a. Remove and set aside packing list from side of box. Also remove and set aside shortage packing list

if there is one.
