Soldier A
1.
Turn on power to rear winch. Turn locking latch (1) to the
unlocked position. Push control lever (2) forward and put on
locking latch.
2.
Operate winch and turn drum, first in one direction, then the
other.
Soldier B
3.
Check if automatic brake pressure plate (3) and brake lining
plate (4) touch.
If there is contact, shut down power. Adjust pressure plate
4.
clearance. Refer to para 18-5f, frame 11.
