Check that main drive gear shaft (1), idler gear shaft (2), and idler gear

bearing spacer (3) do not have cracks and that shafts are not bent or warped.
Take off raised metal, nicks or scratches with a honing stone and polish
machined surfaces with crocus cloth. If more repair is needed, throw out
parts and get new ones in their places.
2.  Check that two sleeves (4) are not damaged. Cut off damaged sleeves and
press on new ones.
