Put lockwasher (1) on spindle (2) so that tab on washer fits in keyway in spindle.

2.
Using wheel bearing nut wrench, screw on and tighten locknut (3).
Using hammer and punch, bend down tabs on lockwasher (1) as shown over locknut (3).
