TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP MAINTENANCE (Contd)
REMOVAL
1.
Position transmission (6) upright, with torque converter side facing upward.
2.
Remove nine screws (1) and washers (8) from front support (4) and transmission (6).
3.
Remove two screws (2) and washers (3) from oil pump (7) (180 apart).
4.
Install two pump support assembly removers on front support (4) and use hammer handle to tap
front support (4) and oil pump (7) loose from transmission (6).
5.
Remove front support (4) and gasket (5) from transmission (6). Discard gasket (5).
6.
Remove pump support assembly removers from front support (4).
7.
Remove seal ring (9), two hook-type seal rings (11), and thrust washer (10) from front support (4).
Discard seal ring (9) and two hook-type seal rings (11).
