Turn on lights and accessories.

Run engine at 750-850 RPM.
VOLTAGE
Dial 83 into TEST SELECT and press TEST.
Is the reading at least 24 VDC?
YES
NO
Check/repair vehicle wiring
circuitry to field terminal
repeat step 1.
Check for bad connections or
broken cables in charging system
output and ground circuits.
NOTE
Repeat step 1.
After completing repair, rerun the GO-Chain
If voltage is still not within the
tests to verify that the problem is fixed and
specified limits, replace alternator
that no other problems exist.
