Shut off fuel supply so engine will not start.

Dial 14 into TEST SELECT switches and press TEST.
UNBALANCE
Wait for prompting message GO to appear.
When GO appears, crank engine.
Just after starting to crank, VTM display should
change to four dashes, indicating VTM is
accepting data.
PROMPTING
Stop cranking when VTM displays OFF or E013.
MESSAGE
Wait for a number to be displayed.
Stop cranking when VTM displays OFF or E013.

Does VTM display FAIL?

Repeat compression unbalance test.
If FAIL message still appears, refer to
Mechanical Systems Troubleshooting Index
(WP 0007 00) to diagnose engine.
VTM displays E013. This may
indicate discharged batteries or
low cranking speed. Also, operator
may have stopped cranking during
test. Check and repeat test.
