MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION

Test 1. Test for battery voltage at rear

1. Turn main light switch to OFF
position.
2. Disconnect lead 23 at rear
composite light on side of
vehicle where B.O. stoplight is
malfunctioning.
3. Turn main light switch to B.O.
MARKER or B.O. DRIVE
positions.
4. Depress brake pedal and check
1. If battery voltage is present, go to
for battery voltage on contact

to WP 0013 00, table 1,
malfunction 1, test 3, and check
front wiring harness pin N.
Test 2. Test continuity of filament in
B.O. stoplight lamp.
Check for continuity between lead 23
1. If continuity is not present, replace
attached to rear composite light and
B.O. taillight lamp (WP 0125 00).
frame ground.
2. If continuity is present, check for
corroded contacts at lamp and on
lead 23 connection to rear wiring
harness. Reconnect lead 23.
