FRAME 11
1.
Remove and disassemble boring case gear assembly. Refer to para 17-46b
and 17-46c.
2.
If reading in step 4, frame 10 is less than .011 inch, do the following:
a.  Add .011-inch thickness to lower rack carrier bearing shim set (1).
b.  Take out .011-inch thickness from upper rack carrier bearing shim
set (2).
c. Add .011-inch thickness to rack drive gear shim set (3).
3.
If reading in step 4, frame 10 is more than .034 inch, do the following:
a. Take out .020-inch thickness from lower rack carrier bearing shim set (2),
b. Add .020-inch thickness to upper rack carrier bearing shim set (2).
Assemble and replace boring case gear assembly. Refer to para 17-46g and
4.
17-46h.
5.
Do frame 4 again.
