FRAME 5
1.
Put saddle (1) onto spring (2).  Make sure saddle is down on spring. Put
U-bolts (3) over saddle and down into spring seat (4).
2.
Put lockwashers (5) and screw nuts (6) onto U-bolts (3).
Lower jacks (7) from spring (2) and take jacks away.

Using torque wrench, tighten nuts (6) to 180 to 230 pound-feet.
NOTE
Follow-on Maintenance Action Required:
1. Replace rear wheels.  Refer to TM 9-2320-209-10.
2. Lower and take away jacks under cross shaft and
axle housing.  Refer to Part 1, para 11-3.
