Point coolant and battery tester (1) toward any light source. Look in eyepiece
(2).
Read battery charge scale (3) on left side.  Reading (4) is where dark shadow

Reading (4) should be in GOOD range (1.250 to 1.300). If specific gravity is

below 1.225, replace battery with a fully charged battery if recharging is not
possible.

Using battery filler syringe, add distilled water if available or clean water as
needed to bring electrolyte to needed level, 3/4-inch above plates.
5.
Screw on and tighten battery filler cap (7).
6.
Clean and dry all parts of the coolant and battery tester (1).
