UNIT MAINTENANCE
Deploying the ladder. Lower the hinged tailgate into an approximate vertical position. The ladder (1)
mounts to the deployment brackets (2,3) by engaging the hooks (4) in the end of the ladder over the
hooked portion (5) of the brackets. The grips (6) at the bottom of the ladder are then allowed to rest on
the ground.

Stowing the ladder. To stow the ladder (1), lift and remove it from the deployment brackets (2,3). Place
the hooks (4) at the end of the ladder over the stowage brackets (7,8) and secure with strap assemblies
(9). Once the ladder is stowed, close the tailgate (10).
